Custom Air Handler Units
Designed Without Restraint
Precision Fit
Engineered to exact dimensions to seamlessly integrate with new builds or retrofits, eliminating the need for costly structural modifications.
Performance, Purpose-Built
Motor technology, fan balancing, low-resistance dampers, and thermal design are selected and fine-tuned to your application's exact efficiency, airflow, and pressure requirements, not built..
Structural & Redundant by Design
Heavy-gauge cabinet construction and direct-drive fan arrays deliver structural rigidity under high-static conditions and built-in N-1 or N+1 redundancy, with OSHPD-certified options..
Custom Air Handler Units (AHUs)
Our custom-engineered air handling systems are designed to meet exact facility requirements. Unlike standard catalog units that require facilities to adapt to their architecture, our air handlers are engineered to the millimeter. These units provide industrial-grade construction, precise environmental control, and high-efficiency performance for demanding applications. Our AHUs are designed to integrate directly with project-specific airflow, pressure, dimensional, and redundancy requirements that fall outside the limitations of standard commercial air handling units.
Benefits & Features
Fit & Customization
- Unrestricted Dimensional Customization – Cabinet dimensions, internal layouts, and connection locations are engineered to match new construction constraints or existing ductwork and piping interfaces in retrofit applications.
Performance & Efficiency
- Motor Technology Options – Choose from Infinitum Aircore EC, permanent magnet (PM), or induction motors with ceramic or steel bearings to match part-load efficiency, peak-load performance, and application requirements across data centers, healthcare, and industrial facilities.
- Fan Balancing – Fans are dynamically balanced beyond industry requirements, with specialized isolation options available to further reduce vibration transfer.
- Thermal Performance – Precision-cut, high-density insulation and a range of thermal break options, including modified and full thermal break configurations, improve thermal efficiency.
Structural & Reliability
- Inherent Redundancy – Fan arrays support N-1(+) with optional N+1(+) redundancy. If a fan or motor fails, the remaining fans can compensate to maintain the required airflow.
- Structural Cabinet Design – Heavy-gauge structural framing and double wall construction prevent cabinet deflection under high static pressures. Can design to align with seismic activity ratings.
- OSHPD-Certified Options – Available for healthcare and seismic-critical projects requiring OSHPD (now HCAI) certification.
- Low-Resistance Dampers – Engineered for minimal pressure drop when open, preserving system efficiency across the fan array.
Maintenance & Serviceability
- Serviceable Coil Design – Welded coil racks allow the top coil to be removed independently of the bottom, or partially removed, simplifying maintenance without full system disassembly.
